Kids club members are invited to two Champion's Creed's (members-only) tournaments in September, where they can test out their martial arts skills in a safe and friendly environment!
Parents are welcome to come, see how their kids are doing, and cheer them on from the sidelines.
Matches start from standing.
Fighters who move onto or outside the border when standing will (at the discretion of the referee) be restarted in the centre of the mat.
If fighters move outside the area while on the ground (both fighters have at least one knee down), then the action is frozen, and they are moved back to the centre of the mat in their current position.
The referee can stop or restart a match at any time if he considers it necessary for safety reasons.
The referee's decision is final and non-negotiable.
Kids will be split up into groups by age and size.
The objective is to try and outmaneuver each other by outscoring their teammate with particular goals.
For example, members will be asked to demonstrate techniques like elbow tags and scoring leg kicks, all while keeping a great fighter defensive stance to block and counter-attack.
This will be a fun night for parents to see how the kids are moving and how they are learning to realistically apply their skills in a friendly, competitive way.
